The primary purpose of this position is to lead a team of engineers responsible for design, launch
and sustainability of all product categories that Masco Canada owns.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manages a highly specialized technical function/teams. Develop, validate, and launch all new products for Masco Canada operations by ensuring they meet the highest safety, quality and product standards
- Responsible for all engineering related functions for Masco Canada Products from a cradle to grave. This includes but is not limited to;
- New Product Launches
- Value Engineering
- Warranty and Quality Support for existing products
- Engineering Change Management for existing products
- Review of detail design drawings, DFMEAs, test plans, test instructions and ensure design and standards protocol are followed
- Review all project technical specifications and business plans for content and accuracy
- Identify project risks and aid in action plans to reduce risk
- Present conceptual design sketches and ideas on potential new products and improvements
- Work on design process improvements
- Manage pipeline of value engineering idea templates from generation through implementation: assigning resources, assessing technical issues, planning execution, removing obstacles, prioritizing, achieving cross-function participation / support
- Manage department budget
- Manage & drive employee talent and the people development process
- Promoting a culture of compliance
- Other duties as assigned
What will you bring:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering
- P.Eng would be an asset
- 8-10 years of experience in the field
- A minimum of 5 years Product Development experience
- The candidate must have Engineering supervision experience
- Project management experience would be an asset
- Understanding of plumbing and electronic products, reliability, sensing and control would be an asset
- Knowledge on plumbing regulatory requirements would be an asset

Hiring Range: $84,800.00 - $133,210.00
