Our client is one of the biggest Canadian manufacturers serving the building materials and home improvement industry.
What will you do?
- Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive operational strategy that supports overall business goals.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement efficient logistics solutions to streamline transportation, reduce costs, and improve delivery times while meeting service agreements.
- Design and implement effective inventory control systems, policies, and procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize expenses.
- Collaborate with production teams to create and execute production schedules that meet customer demand and align with inventory strategies.
- Identify and assess potential risks within the operational framework, and develop strategies to ensure business continuity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- Utilize data analysis to monitor performance, track key metrics, and support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment, contributing to overall business success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Operations Management, Business Administration, or Logistics. Advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certification in operations or supply chain management is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership capacity.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful operational strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
