What will you do?
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to lead the finance and accounting team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and success of our company. You will be a strategic partner to the President, providing financial insights and recommendations that drive growth and profitability.
- Financial Management: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management policies to protect the company's financial interests.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team. Promote corporate culture and enhance cross-department communication.
Who are you?
- 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with 3 years in a leadership role.
- Must have relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA designation required.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
