Summary:
To enhance and develop key account relationship and business growth plans with Clopay, Cornell, and Cookson Brand Dealers while maintaining company financial objectives. This position’s primary function is exceeding sales growth expectations through long-term key account partnerships and new account acquisition in low share markets by utilizing both new and proven business strategies and consultative selling skills. This will solidify CBPC’s position as the primary supplier that offers unparalleled value in the industry.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
- Work with key accounts to build their success with Clopay Corp. Commercial Sectional and Rolling Steel products and programs while maintaining company financial objectives.
- Develop/maintain a detailed business plan for increasing sales, product mix, and profitability for both CBPC and key accounts. Business plan to include current business analysis, future sales forecasting, current market share, and strategies to improve sales, margins, and product mix. Plan to be developed annually and reviewed at least quarterly with key accounts to ensure goals and results are achieved.
- Prepare Annual Territory plan detailing objectives and specific action items to generate successful overall territory performance vs. budget. Territory overview plans will include updates on existing key account growth plans, channel sales forecast, product sales mix, trends and address low share market opportunities through new account acquisition.
- Implement Company policies, programs, promotions, price changes and new products at field level.
- Follow up on commercial quote activity and incorporate the Commercial Project Management process into select key accounts and/or projects based on value thresholds.
- Aggressively pursue, report on and close new business opportunities in low share markets through new account acquisition or expansion of existing accounts.
- Analyze sales reports to evaluate dealer performance and update CRM with sales call notes.
- Partner with other internal departments as necessary to help maintain key accounts.
- Control sales expenses within budgeted guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of paperwork.
- Evaluate and submit PA’s as required.
- Attend Regional and/or National Sales meetings, trade shows or other events as required.
- Pursue construction or industry related accreditations.
- Research product and construction related issues, and educate dealers and fellow associates.
- Share feedback from Architects and End Users that explains their design needs/challenges, providing potential leads to new product developments.
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years experience in commercial products in contractor or building materials environment.
- Demonstrated closing skills with accounts greater than $100,000.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently put together and execute territory plans for customer acquisition, retention and customer relationship management.
- Demonstrated consultative selling strength, i.e., ability to work together with customer to plan and implement business-building activities.
- Superior time management skills.
- Must be highly organized and have a proven ability to work independently.
- Working aptitude in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- CRM preferred.
- Live within the assigned territory.
