Under the responsibility of the Business Development Manager (Western Canada), the position holder fulfills the responsibilities linked to sales and market development of the concrete Restoration Systems (CRS) division for BC.
- Represents the company for a specific clientele (consultants, engineers, architects, construction professionals, suppliers, laboratories etc.);
- Informs and educates clientele and assists to develop specifications to appear in civil, commercial, and industrial construction projects;
- Develops new relationships and solidifies existing ones with professionals to ensure that MAPEI products appear in specifications according to the objectives assigned to him;
- Develops and manages his territory, including the sales budget attached according to the company’s objectives;
- Proposes special presentations of MAPEI’s current products and launches new products;
- Gives training on MAPEI products, communicates, and solves customer technical questions to influence their purchases;
- Works closely with our CRS specialists (sales, technical services) and communicates with CRS product line manager;
- Sales, project development and follow up activities are performed on a regular basis;
- Reviews sales and activities of development in his territory and reports to management;
- Works with CRM, and construction information software to obtain project information and leads;
- Does any other related tasks.
Requested skills
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other and 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Member of the Corporation of Engineers, an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Very good spoken and written English.
- Proficient in French, an asset.
- Very good knowledge of Office automation softwares.
- Proficient with mathematics, technical software, and technical writing.
- Proficient with safety practices and workplace inspection techniques.
- Good knowledge of industry standards, MAPEI products and quality standard.
