WHERE YOU WILL WORK
This is a hybrid position, working from home Monday and Friday, in-office Tuesday through Thursday. Office is located at our sales office in Smyrna, Georgia.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Our E-Commerce Sales Manager is a proactive leader, successful at driving revenue growth and increasing profitability for The AMES Companies and its product lines on eCommerce sites such as but not limited to: Amazon, Wayfair, Beyond and other eCommerce marketplaces. They will provide on-going strategic guidance, development support, and expansion for the Digital Commerce Division to develop sustainable growth strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day-to-day business interactions of assigned/responsible eCommerce accounts such as but not limited to: Amazon, Wayfair, and/or Beyond/Overstock.
- Develops and implements digital strategies and consumer relationship plans to drive growth within existing and new eCommerce retail accounts.
- Frequently interact with customer personnel to drive the execution of the customer category plan, building strong relationships at the Merchant/Buyer level, and connectivity with the VP/DMM and other cross-functional areas
- Externally advocates for The AMES Companies business and internally advocates for the customer.
- Strong cross-functional expertise in operational disciplines such as providing a monthly sales forecast and end-to-end supply planning with the customer. Must possess a strong understanding of customer distribution network and customer related metrics (i.e. Fill Rate, On-Time, Vendor Lead time, In-Stocks)
- Analyze sales data available in the e-Retailer portals and internal platforms to review performance, assortment changes required and opportunities for placement of products.
- Monitors the competitors’ brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand shopper trends and opportunities.
- Leverage category and consumer insights to build customer-centric recommendations to sales growth.
- Present various types of information formally and informally to customer account teams and internal TAC stakeholders
- Ability to build relationships and navigate a matrixed organization.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years’ experience in eCommerce, merchandising, buying, category management, and/or related field.
- Experience working in a Consumer-Product Goods industry strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner to different levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and PowerBI.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, innovative, creative team player, ability to work cross-functionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Merchandising, eCommerce, or related field.
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
