Pay Range
$95,800.00-$131,700.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Position Overview
The purpose of the Distribution Center Managers role is to oversee, manage, and maintain distribution activity including inventory control, customer service, warehousing, transportation, purchasing, building maintenance, state and county environmental compliance, training, safety, other projects and support. The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for annual finished goods inventory, weekly cycle counting; managing training warehouse personnel, supporting customer service, trucking scheduling, purchasing packaging and supplies, and maintaining JM equipment and building facilities in compliance with environmental regulations.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Perform Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory levels that are optimum in support of on time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and transportation penalties
- Conduct annual finished goods inventory
- Perform weekly cycle counts
- Partner with customer service SIOP to achieve business goals
- Manage the demand sales forecast
- Schedule and adjust production plans as required
- Manage and maintain cost control for the physical distribution area
- Manage warehouse personnel and overtime reporting
- Manage internal external warehouse operating procedures, space utilization, maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment and inbound outbound logistical operations
- Purchase inventory packaging supplies materials and office supplies through SAP SCM requisition application
- Maintain a safe work environment and be accountable for safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Ensure compliance with state and county environmental regulations
- Maintain current facility licensing, both annual and semiannual:
- Fire Permit
- Business property
- Business license
- EPA
- CERS annual update
- County environmental health
What You Bring to the Team:
- Associate's degree with a minimum of 9 years of production scheduling, distribution, inventory management and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Working knowledge of demand sales forecast
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Solid analytical and problem solving abilities
- Working knowledge of corporate policies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to learn software applications for ADP Enterprise, Talent Management, etc.
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds.
- Heavy travel required 30 or more days per year
- Manages a staff of 2 hourly salary employees, sets direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring and terminating.
- Work environment is typical of an office setting. When in the plant warehouse, may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, mechanical moving parts, heights, dust mist gas fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.
