M-D Pro seeks an organized, energetic, and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong record in new business sales development, experience with phone, video, and in-person presentations, and a talent for building and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate must be able to thoroughly understand and communicate our products' technical details to installers, distributors, and builders. Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce is a plus. This position is ideally based in Texas, though we will consider strong candidates from other states within the territory (Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and Colorado). The role requires regular travel throughout these states to serve our customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and develop existing customer relationships to maintain and increase sales in the territory.
- Research, identify, develop, and close new opportunities to increase sales within the territory.
- Monitor and track regional sales performance.
- Analyze and develop weekly reports on sales activity, new customer acquisition, and monthly sales outcomes.
- Strategically forecast and manage budgetary information. Be informed on relevant markets and coinciding target audiences.
- Collaborate with existing local distributors to ensure proper inventory and deliveries.
- Interact directly with customers to educate them on our products and answer questions. Build and maintain positive client and customer relationships.
- Communicate proactively with all customers in the region to ensure that we provide the service they prefer/expect.
- Create and implement an efficient and effective sales plan for growth within your sales territory. Qualify and disqualify potential customers based on defined parameters for business potential.
- Recognize opportunities for new products or redesign existing products to fit our market better.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in wholesale building product sales
- 2+ years’ experience in direct management of area/regional sales managers
- 2+ years’ experience with direct management responsibilities overseeing multiple states
- Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Manufacturing industry and product knowledge.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Computer Software platforms such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Salesforce or similar CRM.
